Job Description:

A medium size European operator is looking to identify a production chemist on a contract basis to work on a local terms contract in India. The Production Chemist is part of the Production Optimisation team. The Production Chemist is accountable for:-


* Production chemistry management of all assets.
* Front line trouble shooting support on production chemistry related issues.
* Preparation & management of production chemistry budgets.
* Development and implementation of a consolidated procurement strategy for production chemicals.
* Develop production chemistry strategy for Asset
* Develop and Build Contracting strategy for production chemicals. Working in accordance with the global Category Strategy for Production Chemistry, work to build and implement the company standards approach to procurement and management of production chemicals including
o Contracting Strategy
o Vendor Selection
o Chemical Selection Methodology
o Performance Management
o Value Tracking
* Maintain stock of chemicals and its replenishment plan
* JV and internal stakeholder's alignment.
* Develop KPI for performance monitoring of different chemical in use.
* Evaluation of new technologies and field trial
* Ensure Compatibility of all chemicals and materials
* Testing for chemical selection (Field trails)
* Database management in PDMS
* Chemical dosage optimization
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with authorities.

Key Accountabilities:

* Engender a culture of continuous HSSE performance improvement within the asset and contractors.
* Carry out safety audits onshore & offshore and encourage a safe working culture throughout the business unit.
* Ownership & closure of all production chemistry safety related issues//audits of company performance.
* Perform HSSE audits on contractors.
PMT scaling issues:
* Design and maintenance of chemical injection system
* MFC Reinstallation in Panna and its performance monitoring/evaluation
* Field visit for implementation and checks
* Manage selection and field trialling of scale inhibitors
* Scale Modeling & prediction (using software's like Scale Chem)
Sampling:
* Sample analysis contract for the asset.
* Planning for sample collection (Projects, Operations, Subsurface) with offshore (Hydrocarbon and water)
* Manage sampling Logistic
* Sampling database for the ASSET (BUILD & Maintain)
* Sample analysis trending
Surfactant:
* Tapti loaded well chemical selection
* Ownership for field implementation
* Offshore supervision during implementation
* HAZIP/HAZOP study for implementation
* SOW for chemical procurement

Water Injection:

Produced water and sea water benchmarking
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes:
Significant and relevant experience within the upstream oil & gas industry
Have worked offshore in a 'hands-on' production chemistry management/application type role.
Track record of demonstrating success at delivering production chemistry deployment & optimisation.

Adapt at working in a matrix structure.

Expertise in the resolution of complex production chemistry problems in operational facilities.

Experience in setting up and managing procurement contracts for chemicals.

Honours Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
